                         Lord 2 Hints

Mother's house: Talk to mother - she'll tell you to get her some berries
to bake a pie. Go directly to the east - you'll see a cluster of
marks partially blocked-This is the wild berry bush. You may
only carry one bunch of berries at a time. Bring them back
to mother and she'll tell you to go to town and get her some
milk. Look around the house.. on the table in mother's
bedroom you'll find $5.00. Take it.

East Stonebrook Village - (This is where you mother's house is) - Nothing
really to do except talk to the neighbors - they'll tell you
about the tree fort.

Northeast Stonebrook Village - Due North of East Stonebrook Village -
Nothing really to do here either.

Village Forest - Due West of East Stonebrook Village -
Tree fort - You can hide in the tree fort if you know the
password. You find out the password by hitting random birds
with stones as they fly past. The password changes daily and
there are over 750.
- You may also tip off the boy in the tree fort not to let
other players in regardless of them knowing the password.

Town of Stonebrook - In the town of Stonebrook there are four buildings:
Healers, Grocery, Weapon Shop, and Pawn Shop.

Healers - Heal yourself - cheap
Grocery - Buy either milk or berries for $1.00
Weapon Shop - Purchase you basic weapon here either a dagger
or short sword
Pawn shop - You may buy 3 things here -
Green Potion - $5.00 - Heals 10 hitpoints
Rusty Dagger - $5.00
World Map - $20.00 - This is not necessary early on
but may come in handy later in the game.
You may also sell things here - so far I have only
used this to sell old weapons and armor - haven't
tried anything else and so far it appears that this
is the only place you can sell your old stuff - you
can't sell it back at either the weapon shop or the
armor shop in Greentree.

Money Tree - Just southeast of Stonebrook is a huge tree with a chest
containing $25.00. To get there go straight south from
Stonebrook just until the screen scrolls. Once the
screen scrolls do due east until you come to the huge tree
(really a big cluster of little trees) Go to the bottom of
the tree and over to the right ... keep trying to get through
- you'll find a hidden path through to the center. Open the
chest and take your money.

Turgon's House - Talk to Turgon. (Don't pick on him - be nice and
compassionate!) On the west wall of the inside if the house
there is a hidden opening in the wall 3 spaces down from the
top - go through the opening and follow the hidden path down
to the other room. On the table you'll find a heavy coat.
Bring Turgon a berry pie and he'll tell you why he left
Greentree - He'll ask you too clear his name - (But you can't
clear him in Beta 5)

Jack's Restaurant - As you exit the town of Stonebrook go due west - up
at the top of the next screen you'll see a tree that is a
different color from the rest. Move on top of it. You will
be teleported to another tree at top of the screen. Go north.
You'll see Jack's Restaurant - go in and sit at one of the
tables. Order a Glow Worm but don't eat it.. put it in your
pocket for later.

Old Lady's House - Give her a bottle of milk and a bunch of wild berries.
Now ask to taste her brew. She'll give you 5 hitpoints. Ask
to taste her brew a second time. She'll tell you that she
can't make any more brew until she has her Hector back. Ask
her who Hector is and she'll tell you.

Cave - Go into the cave and then eat your glow worm. You will now be
able to see the pathways. Follow to the top of the screen being
careful not to hit the snakes at the top. When the screen
changes you will be in the upper cave. Directly ahead of you
is a nest.. go to the nest and get Hector. Then go to the
chest on the left and collect $35 then to the chest on the
right and collect the broken flute. As of Beta 5, you can do
nothing with the flute. Leave the caves.

Hector - You can do one of two things with Hector -
- Give him back to the old lady - she'll give you 2 muscle
- Set him free - you'll get +5 alignment - (still clueless as
to what alignment does for you)

Neb Stringly - A particularly nasty young man who guards the road to the
Tree Elf Hideaway. For now you're going to have to pay him the
$50 he requires for you to pass. Do not try to fight him -
he will kill you! Later when you have better weapon and armor
you can beat him. Once you've beaten him he will always let
you pass.

Randomly throughout the game you'll come across a Sweet Looking Little
Girl - Let her tag along with you - you'll eventually be able to
bring her to her mother who in return gives you $50 and 10
experience.

Tree Elf Hideaway - Nothing to do here except fight Tree Elves. Best
place to fight at level one to gain money and experience.

This is all you can do in the unregistered version.-- Everything that
follows is for the registered version only.

Greentree -
Ma's Boarding House - Get a room for the night - $50
Red Dragon Inn - Give the little girl back to her mother

North of Ma's Boarding House you'll see a row of four houses - go into the
3rd house-
-If you talk to the owner he'll tell you not to use his
toilet - use it anyway - you'll find a travel pass which
you'll need later

At the bottom of the Greenree screen you'll see a tree that breaks the
border of the town - you can go through this tree as a shortcut to
the areas below Greentree

Port Town -
Fish Hut - Buy a fishing Pole for $500
- Sell fish back for $$$
Travel - Buy tickets to other lands - I believe you can actually go
to them too, but once there you can't do anything as it is
unfinished in Beta5
Tavern - ??? Never went in
Sea Hag Hotel - Stay for the night for $50 - As a man - when you go
to leave the next morning and old woman will pop up and ask
for $25 for a romp (or whatever she calls it) Can't see
anything positive if you accept but there is a negative ....
her skin flakes off in your hands and your hand rubs across
an open sore - you now have a 20% chance of getting VD. A
few steps later she will ask you again - I've never said
yes the second time so I have no idea what would happen -
I've also never been in there as a woman! <LOL>
Ye Old Mart - Buy things that appear not to do anything for you.
Pirate Ship - Ask Pirate Trivia
           - Ask to become a pirate - he'll say you're not good
              enough yet
Cargo Ship - Stow Away - not sire what happens if you do
Charter Ship - I believe this is where you go if you buy a ticket for
somewhere at the travel agency.

Fishing - Half way between Greentree and Port Town on the right hand side
a dock. - Go to it and hit the arrow key over once more like
you're going into the water. It will ask if you want to fish
- say yes. Fish until it says No more fish are biting.
You'll catch two kinds if fish to sell back at the fish place
in Port Town.
- Salmon - $50 and Huge Green Sparkling Salmon - $250.

From the screen just outside of Port Town go east as far as you can and
then go North. You'll come to a man guarding a passageway - with
a lodge on the left. Show him your travel pass and he'll let
you through Go straight ahead into the big tree and get an
apple. You can use it further north to get by another guard.

Lodge - You can do several things here
- $10 small meal will heal some hitpoints
-$20 large meal will heal all your hitpoints
-Listen to a story
-Flirt with the locals - really does nothing
-Get a room $40 - Puts you into the hallway of a U-shaped
floor - the exit on the other side - Follow the hall around
until you've just turned toward the exit - Go into the first
room on the left and check the bed - you'll find an amulet.

North of the Lodge - nothing really to do yet except kill and run from
various monsters

South of Greentree -
South Greentree Field - this is where the tree in the border takes
you - go south
Greentree Forest - Cave - nothing to do in this version - go west
Graveyard - Have found nothing yet but monsters to fight go west
Snowy Pass - Nothing to do really - If you have the amulet from the
lodge you can use the cave as a shortcut to the other side
Beyond the snowy pass there is really nothing to do - there is
another town over there but is unfinished in Beta 5

North of Greentree - there are many paths that lead to the west between
Greentree and Port Town - Most of them you can just fight monsters -
one has a castle that you can buy for $3000. If you can buy it
great! You can password protect it and use it as a safe haven from
other players

Occasionally while wandering around in the registered portion of the game
you will run across a hooded figure - he will sell you one of four things
for $100....
    Skystaff Base
    Skystaff Middle
    Skystaff Top
    Skystaff Gemstone
Once you have all of these you can hit enter on any of them and it will bu
itself - Once built it teleports you to a big cloud in the sky where you'l
meet an angel - other than use it as a safe-haven there is really nothing
can do there yet.
