                           IDFEdit v1.0 for LORD2
                           	  <c>opyright 1999 Black Dragon Software

 			-=-=-=-=-=INTRODUCTION=-=-=-=-=-
LORD2 (along with LORD and TEOS) is a BBS game that was written by
Seth Able, unfortunately unlike LORD, LORD2 came just a little bit late.
Well, LORD2 had a really cool feature that allowed you to easilly make
your own add-ons to an already gigantic world.
These IGMs allowed you to create data files to keep track of various
things. While developing IGMs I found that sometimes I screwed up one
thing and I didn't want to have to start with a fresh file, so I took 10
minutes and wrote this program up. For anyone other then IGM developers
it is fairly useless, however. Some would even argue that it is also
useless even if you are an IGM developer =)

                    	 -=-=-=-=-=DISCLAIMER=-=-=-=-=-
This is a pretty simple program, and there isn't much that can go
wrong, and I've tried it out a bunch of times and I haven't had any
problems. If something DOES not go as planned, however, I will not be
responsible for any strange or damaging things it does.

			-=-=-=-=-=INSTALLATION=-=-=-=-=-
Simple: 1> Unzip the archive to any directory (Your LORD2 directory is
                fine, but it doesn't matter).

		        -=-=-=-=-=USING IDFEDIT=-=-=-=-=-
When you run IDFEDIT you will be prompted for a filename to edit. Please
don't type in a non-IDF file, it will only screw things up. After IDFEdit
has successfully loaded the IDF file you will be able to view/change all
of the 200 longint vars, and all of the 200 reserved chars. Although I
don't know why you would want to change the chars, because they don't do
anything in LORD2 at this time. Oh, you can also change the last day that
this IDF was accessed, for the @DATANEWDAY command.

			 -=-=-=-=-=REGISTERING=-=-=-=-=-
Are you kidding? Did you really think that I would charge for this? I
really don't even know why I am even writing this. This is freeware and
it will always be so. This does not give your permission to try to pass
this off as your own (I doubt you would anyway), or sell it. Also, the
source is still mine and is not available at this time. So, basically you
are free to distribute IDFEdit as long as you don't modify it in ANY way,
and you don't try to charge for it. And if you really think that IDFEdit
is worth registering, then you can send praise/worship via e-mail to me
  at bdsoft@hotmail.com.
