 Section 3 About FieldSoft IGMs
ͼ

FieldSoft IGMs is an Author group whose purpose is to amplify and
diversify the Legend Of The Red Dragon realm originally created by Seth Able
Robinson. LORD being one of the most renowned Bulletin Board System door
games, the In-Game Module possibility makes the game all the more interesting.
Through it's productions, FieldSoft IGMs brings the story to life, linking to
the known events of the Red Dragon Saga, trasitions and continuity between the
first and second LORD door game.

FieldSoft IGMs has one main goal: to show how LORD II has the
capabilities of being THE top notch game ever made for Bulletin Board Systems.
The template offering unlimited possibilities, someone has to be out there
making sure it's used at it's full potential.

The IGMs offered for free by FieldSoft are ideas coming to the Authors
of the IGMs from Users of LORD II, friends, and other Sysops who die for BBS
variety. Small or big, the IGMs created by FieldSoft IGMs are always LORD II
graphic-wise, and suitable for the expected level requirement of the area
where they're placed.

From all the team at FieldSoft IGMs, we hope you will enjoy this IGM!

ͻ
 Section 4 Joining FieldSoft IGMs
ͼ

The IGMs we tend to produce are LORD Realm-like stories, happening in
the same era, and always fit in the map like a charm. Incoherent story-based
IGMs would not be distributed by FieldSoft IGMs. It is also required that all
productions of FieldSoft IGMs can be installed at once. If you have any IGMs
you wish to present us, please make sure there is no common variables, created
files, file replacements or map screens.

Another thing about FieldSoft IGMs, they are LORD II styled. The
appearence, colors, maps and text are all LORD II similar (such as titles,
text color, map graphics and colors, etc).

If you do not have LORD II IGM programming experience, FieldSoft IGMs
is willing to tutor you through your productions, give you tips and tricks,
suggestions for your IGM, and all you'd need to know about animated
cut-scenes, external vars and advance Ref File writing. If you are already
familiar in the works of Ref Files, but just don't have any IGMs to submit,
FieldSoft IGMs has a bundle of projects waiting in line to be done!

To join FieldSoft IGMs, please contact us at fieldsoft@hotmail.com
with your full name and a reliable email address. If you already have an IGM
of your own design, the IGM mustn't be compiled for programming observation.
Be assured that your uncompiled IGM will not be distributed, or copied, for
FieldSoft IGMs' own purpose.

Please take note that FieldSoft IGMs does not take credit for it's
programming. Each IGMs are clearly identified as the author's own production,
though his membership to the FieldSoft IGMs team is mentionned. Supporting IGM
authors, you can be assured that no ideas or Ref Files would be stolen for the
use of other members, and no modifications would be made without consent and
membership of the author. Of course, if membership is aquired, ideas and Ref
Files writing technics are likely to be shared within members.

The requirements are simple. Any IGM produced for FieldSoft IGMs must
go through proper testing of all possibilities. Use of variables, file
creation, the actual version of the IGM, and a letter between 6 and 24 lines
from the author explaining to futur users how he came to make this IGM, must
be written in a text file before being sent to FieldSoft IGMs, for use in the
insertion of a similar ReadMe text file. The IGMs must also fit the details in
the two first paragraphs of this sections.

FieldSoft IGMs is currently looking for another Ansi Artists for IGM
making purpose, a good and original LORD II Map Artist also for IGMs, a few
Authors and some easily-reached Beta Testers.

Section 5 Becoming a Distribution Site

To become a FieldSoft IGMs Distribution Site, please send the
informations mentionned bellow to fieldsoft@hotmail.com

        BBS Name:
        TelNet Address:
        Country:
        Email Address:

Being a FieldSoft IGMs Distribution Site require little commitment.
You must have an Ansi, such as the one in this archive, appearing during the
User's login at your BBS, as well as having all FieldSoft IGMs productions
installed on your BBS in a recent LORD II. You must be willing to keep 5 megs
of free HD space for archiving, though the files you distribute for FieldSoft
IGMs don't have to be given for free (if your BBS has credits or download
ratios, we have no problem with that), but you must have a seperate file base
reserved for FieldSoft IGMs.

Being a FieldSoft IGMs Distribution Site, your BBS will serve as a
reference for users who wish to play LORD II with our IGMs. You will also be
listed in the ReadMe text files (such as this one) of all IGMs distributed by
FieldSoft IGMs, as well as in the Links section of FieldSoft IGMs HomePage.

FieldSoft IGMs has a lack of Distribution Sites, majorly due to the
closure of most of the Bulletin Board Systems throughout America. The current
Bulletin Board Systems officially distributing our IGMs are listed below

Section 6 Getting your own IGM done
ͼ

FieldSoft IGMs now offers you to have your very own IGM done for you.
If you operate a LORD II, and wish you had a customized IGM, that does exactly
what you want it to do, that looks the way you want it to, and says just what
you wanted it to say, well contact us at fieldsoft@hotmail.com for your
request. You request will be taken into account and completed in the following
couple of days by one of our authors (you may specify one of your liking, if
you have enjoyed the work of a member in perticular).

Note that the IGM made for you is not an exclusivity. It may be
modified and distributed under a more general version by FieldSoft IGMs (you
might have it just the way you want it, but you can't keep all the fun to
yourself!).

ͻ
Section 7 Words from the Author
ͼ

When I initially created HillSide City 1, it was a lame city sitting
on the mountain side. It contained the same buildings in now has, but had no
story, no quest, leave out a secret passage giving a Red Potion. For me, my
IGM # lucky13 didn't turn out as exciting as some of my previous ones.

I always wanted to have an underground city, but I found an IGM
already like that (Underground City by Thaddeus A O'Brien). Still, I remade
this IGM, and put it underground to look nicer. As I did that, I also added up
another idea I had. A city that has been mysteriously deserted. Having the
town underground made it easy to give it a story and a quest to go with it.
Adding to it some small cut-scene animations, HillSide City 2 is now an IGM I
am proud of.
