To Install DASD Vision 386 AT v3, copy all programs and procedures
to a Working Path Directory on your Hard disk.

          Example: XCOPY B:*.COM C:\BIN /-Y
                          XCOPY B:*.EXE C:\BIN /-Y
                          XCOPY B:*.BAT C:\BIN /-Y

will Install files from Floppy drive B: to Hard disk C: in
sub-dir BIN and Prompt before Overwriting Duplicate files.

    { Optionally place all files in separate Sub-Dir and ADD to Path }

    Create DV3 Help directory : MD C:\DOS\DV3
Install Help files : Copy DVNOTE* C:\DOS\DV3

( Print file &PRINTME for Application Instructions. Additional
Documentation files are type xxx.DOC. )

    Configuration:  AFTER copying files to a working path directory;

Rename CRYNONE.EXE to CRYPTO12.EXE, unless you have
requested a Serialized version ( Program will be
named CRYxnnn.EXE where 'xnnn' = Serial number ).

Note: Remember to De-Crypt ALL Encrypted files with
EXISTING program PRIOR to installing a New version,
even if the Serial Number is the same!

Rename DVPRINT.BAT to PRINT.BAT if Printing is to be
executed from DASD Vision (calls PRINT.EXE) and you
do NOT already have file Print.Bat.

( Edit above files to Change the NAME of the system
Program called for each function, if needed. )

Rename PAGEWITE to PAGEWITE.DV3 and Copy to C:\DOS\DV3
directory if you have a Page White monitor.

( MAY also work on Monochrome Display if needed )

Rename CRTCFLAG to CRTCFLAG.DV3 and Copy to C:\DOS\DV3
directory if you want to force the Screen Mode
to 80 Cols x 30 Lines at ALL times. Without this
file, DV386 will track with the DOS Screen Modes,
                allowing 80 x 25, 43 or 50 Line Formats.

Rename TRANSPAR to TRANSPAR.DV3 and Copy to C:\DOS\DV3
directory if problems are encountered using the
CRTCFLAG.DV3 file. This option will force the
re-initialization of the video Screen after all
external calls. Discontinue use of this option
( rename TRANSPAR.DV3 to TRANSPAR ) if excessive
Flashing of the Video screen is encountered.

    Notes:

A good working knowledge of DOS and Tree-type Disk Directories
is essential for making full use of DASD Vision. Several DOS
Tutorials are available, including a 'Basics' Tutorial in the
User's Guide supplied with each release of MS-DOS. Chapter 2
is an excellent Overview of DOS Basics, while Chapter 4 outlines
the all important Configuration files used at each Start-up.

Possibly one of the nicest features of MS-DOS is the Online,
Disk Resident HELP system, that contains all the Technical
Reference information one would need for problem solving and
is packed with Syntax examples, Notes and Cross References.
( Type 'HELP' for Topics Menu, or 'HELP cmd' for information
about a particular command. i.e. 'HELP XCOPY' )
