This is the README file for PB-GNU COOKIE. Full documentation can
be found in the COOKIE.MAN file. View with tabstops set at 4 spaces.

Unpack the archive somewhere. There are two files that you
need in order to use Fortune Cookie: COOKIE.PEX and COOKIE.DAT
Both of them should be in the same directory (preferably,
ProBoard PEX directory). If you want to rename the PEX, be
sure to rename the data file. It should have the same name as
the PEX save for the extension DAT.

Next, create a menu entry with Function 60, "Run ProBoard SDK"
and COOKIE as its data entry. That's it!

The format of the data file is as follows: a '%' alone on a
line separates each fortune. There's no '%' at the begginning
and the end of the file. Simple, nyet? See the file FORMAT.REF
as a nicer way to format the database. The file included in
the archive conforms to that layout.

The source code was developed with the Borland C++ 3.1 compiler. I
can make no guarantee that it will work under any other.
